Born in 1968 in the Netherlands, Margaretha Strijbis grew up in a time when female independence was becoming increasingly important. Although she chose to study economics, her passion for drawing, painting, and writing was always present. After her Bachelor degree of Business Administration, she started an exclusive women’s fashion boutique together with her mother and sister, dressing women from the top of the business world and even members of the royal family. Despite this success, something remained missing a deeper connection to her creative identity.
